About Us

History

The Lopresti Family, originally from the southern Italian region of Calabria, started their own successful, stand-alone gelato bar on Sydney’s North Shore in 1990. The Lopresti brothers Domenico and Marco learnt their trade using a closely-guarded family recipe.

Seeing a business opportunity, the Lopresti Family opened a small factory and invested in a delivery truck. Word of mouth kept the operation growing. Marco joined his brother Domenico in the business after completing his degree. In 2000, they moved to a bigger factory in Gladesville and, in late 2004, they moved to Rydalmere, which is where they established their current manufacturing facility which distributes Bravo Gelato™ around Australia.
